Not knowing how much traffic you get, how intense your sites are memory-wise, your "top" results of earlier showed you had much less free memory, I personally would go with Offer no. 3 with Hostgator. I've had many servers with them, hopped on to live chat and sorted if any problems arose.

Do not go for hostgator you only need to read the reviews here to know that!

So you need that managed with cPanel? AFACS that's the only option that makes clustered.net 4GB VPS go to 84

That HostGator quote is first month only. I'd go with KnownHost 3450 and 8 GB RAM. As a matter of fact, I'd go with KnownHost for any VPS or Dedi.

1. Thanks you guys..
2. Leaaseweb canned in this forum... one negative is enough as it reflects only those comments of someone who can be bothered to post... !!!
3. Hostgator quote I gave was the monthly not the cheaper first month.
Where are the **** reviews please on hostgator? well done for spotting..
4. My traffic is as follows
20,000 uniques per month
1.9 million page impressions
Average user time approx 10 mins
Some of this includes uploading and downloading of music files. IE playing audio clips - or uploading up to 10mb of audio clips.
A typical session could have up to 100 people listening to audio clips concurrently. Its a small niche for specialists.
See it as a bands site where bands upload demos and people listen to them.
I have 6 sites
1 major as above -
4 small one to 6 page sites
PS - CPU share scares me a hell of a lot.

Dont let CPU share scare you, if you get a share of a powerful server it would be better than dedicated CPU on a budget server.

Are these stats correct? 20000 unique visitors is viewing 95 pages each? With less than 700 visitors daily, you could just go for a shared hosting account for about $10/month.

What about customers
1/ Uploading up to 10MB each in audio
2/ Customers listening to this on their players
3/ Running the database
4/ Fast pro looking page loads
I also have 6 other sites - my bad for not mentioning - but they are not getting any business. So .... its only the main one .

Funny you mention HostGator, they have a billboard down the street from our facility looking to hire random people for Linux admin work.. very strange considering we are 2000 miles away from them...

Shared hosting is enough, save yourself some money. I would get a reseller account so each site can have their own hosting account.

This is really strange. I was thinking this VPS technology really has come along way - 6 years ago when I started I had no option but to be advised to have a dedicated server. Now people are saying that VPS will out perform my current dedicated... thats almost too good to be true?

I'd take a quality hardware with RAID 10 VPS on a fast network and on a non-oversold node over a low-end dedi. That's certainly not true for a budget VPS.
