OK? I think this thread is most certainly in the wrong forum

That being said, I do like the layout, but the colors really don't do it for me.

We used to call it the "standing room only close" in sales ... its a way to induce people to make a decision right away, like when a salesman tells you the sale is one-day only, etc.

I'm a happy MDD customer so I'm probably biased, but I like the way Mike has broken out the TOS into some component parts that make it very easy to understand the services you are getting. He has a complete TOS, of course, but then also a page detailing the scope of their support services, and a separate page detailing the hourly email limit and maximum mailing list limits (along with defined limits on hourly log ins). Those are usually things you have to search for, and often not even outlined before sign up.

Very nice I always felt that their old design was fine but too content heavy; this new design seems spot-on.

Probably... I did consider posting a "What do you think of our new look?" type of thread in the reviews section but decided not to. I'm not sure if this would belong there though because I'm not the one who posted the thread... Hmmm

Some like the colors, and some do not. Some think it's too dark and some like dark sites... Overall I like it very much myself and I think it's an improvement over the previous version of the site.

Yeah, the old one wasn't bad - it was just very dated and content-heavy. The new site, imho, is easier to navigate and information is presented in a more friendly / less "wall of text" manner.

I can't speak for everybody else - but the timer does actually count down to the promotion expiration. It even pulls the current time from the server via PHP so no matter where you are, the time remaining is accurate on page-load.

I'm not sure how many will know if it's good or bad outside of internal staff, usually providers don't discuss the metrics of their visitors/traffic unless they're looking for investors.

I've never heard that phrase, but that is the idea. Many times people will see a promotion and won't read the "Offer valid until XX/YY/ZZZZ" and will open a ticket asking when the promotion is over... With the countdown it's hard to miss when the current listed promotion will end.

The old one was done by myself almost 3 years ago... The new design is technically "MDDHosting V3.0".

Indeed, it was a wall of text with some graphics dispersed within and wasn't the easiest to navigate.

LOL. I don't usually make it way down this far on the main page. Thanks for moving it to the appropriate area.
