    Fake requests

I have started using Apache mod_rewrite feature to make SE friendly URLs. However in the logs I can see a lot of requests for contact.php with various path like:

There is no contact.php at all on the server. There are ~3-6 such requests in every minute.
This requests worries me, but don't know what to do against it.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance!

It'll just be spammers looking for a contact form to send spam to, but if the file doesn't exist there isn't any reason to worry about it.

You could just block the IP's if you are concerned about a hack attempt.
