Multiple Web Sites runing of a single hosting account?

I just bought Hosting at HostGator and I want to run two up to three web sites of that single account.
All 3 sites will be WordPress sites.
I interested how to setup FTP and domains. How should I arrange files and folders on FTP and such.
    Thanks.

Hello darkodelta, Welcome to web hosting talk

You can do that by purchasing 3 additional domain names, then pointing the name servers to hostgoator's network as instructed in the welcome e-mail you got.
Then you should login to control panel and click addon domain. From there you should enter all the 3 additional domain names you bought. Also each domain name will have its own directory in the FTP server so you can upload your files there.

You just log into cpanel and refer to add-on domain option and add your domain there, you can specify website directory, ftp user/password.

You can find a tutorial there that teaches you how to setup and addon domain. If you have a Hatchling package you don't have any addon domains included though.

Otherwise, you may qualify for a whole 3 "top-level accounts/domains" meaning each domain has it's own cPanel.
