hardware based failover solution for Windows servers

I want to know which are the best hardware based failover solutions for Windows servers. I want to make sure that if the primary server is down, it should immediately switch to the failover server.

There are a variety of ways to do this, but the type of application you are trying to provide fault tolerance for can greatly limit your choices. Providing failover for a multi-tiered web application is very different than some old, custom accounting package written in the 90s that has no cluster-awareness. One of the easiest ways to accomplish failover on Windows servers--meaning it is application agnostic and pretty much works with any application--is to use something like Stratus.
