    Hi,

I have VPS with 1G RAM. I want to host forum. Does my vps can support for hosting forum?

I need suggestion here. Bandwidth is unmetered.

    Thanks.

Yes, you should be fine hosting a forum on a VPS with 1GB of RAM. I am hosting three on a 1 GB RAM VPS, although only one of them is busier (with up to 40 concurrent users; most online in a day is about 300 members).

you can absolutely run a forum with out a doubt, unless you have a poor quality vps.
@fshagan & Sandy : If you optimize the scripts well u can handle nearly 2000 members (personal experience with vb forum)

The VPS running my MyBB forum is using around 50mb RAM and typically has at least 15 guests online.

Depends on how many users you have online.
If this is an initial stage, you dont need a VPS, instead consider a shared hosting package.

You should have no problem running a forum on that setup. Once you get nice traffic moving to it, then good thing about being on a VPS already is you can upgrade it in a matter of minutes if your current host is on top of their game. Load up the forum and have fun.

Thanks ... I don't have direct experience with that many concurrent users (my larges forum has up to 300 at a time, with 1700+ members active in the last three months).
