    Test with VPS?

    So I always wanted to take the challenge of using a VPS and installing an elaborate script such as vBulletin or IPB, while using the least amount of resources possible and also able to handle influx of traffic. I was wondering what sort of web software I should use and have seen nginx but have no clue how to install it. If anyone would like to give me some insight on where I should start it would be appreciated

    I'd recommend nginx personally over the alternatives.

    It installs much like any other daemon, probably through your package manager. Configuration is pretty simple. If you want PHP you'll need something to run the PHP, php-fpm seems to be the de facto.

    I wrote an easy Nginx, PHP-FPM and MySQL install script:
    http://freevps.us/thread-528.html

    The VPS running that site was set up with that script and is using less then 50mb RAM. (It will be around 110mb RAM used on a OpenVZ VPS)

    I don't see anything in his script that implies cPanel.

    If you have budget go for Varnish on Cpanel Server, if you are looking for free option go for LNMP (lnmp.org) a free automated script to install Nginx, PHP, MySql and FTP Server.

    Thank you for the script and I've just run it and works perfect! However how do I access PHPMyAdmin as http://IP/phpmyadmin is not redirecting.

    It's not automatically installed. To install it run
    Code:
    yum install phpmyadmin
    and paste this in /etc/nginx/conf.d/phpmyadmin.conf
    [code]server {
    server_name phpmyadmin.*;
    root /usr/share/phpmyadmin;
    include php;
    }
    Now add a dns entry on one of your domains for phpmyadmin like phpmyadmin.example.com
