Just look for one that has a different fan, though I think all the small ones have the same fan. So you need to use WD Black Edition / RAID Edition or Seagate Enteprise Edition or try a 2.5" drive to help out.

I often just unplug the fan in these model cases but not because of any issues. I do it just to save power.
The case was designed to be used with a passive cooled CPU and most of the time I use a CPU fan (blower type).

There is no problem with using the fan in these cases. If you're paranoid about vibration then you should be worried about the entire floor of the data center or being next to an HVAC unit. In either case if you're using a 1U blower cpu cooler all you're doing is wasting electricity by leaving that fan plugged in. You will not notice any change in temperature.

    There are 2 versions
    - 1 blower 100x100mm
    - 2 blowers 40x40mm

Which one do you have and what kind of vibration issues ?
Maybe with a specific mainboard ?

502L-200B is a good one. Small, designed for passive cooling(Atom). Check out this link. There is no FAN by default, so no weird issues.

Actually can you say us a little more about this vibration problem. Last year we built over 2000 systems with 512L chassis and never heard of something like that from our customers.

ever since we implemented these measures several month ago, not a single vibration related incident was reported by customers.
Wow. Now I've got it. Are you talking about older version of this chassis? In the older revisions the fan was screwed directly to the chassis and was causing vibration problem. But I didn't see any case with such design for a looong time.

Mostly we sell SSDs with those systems, but even though we have hundreds sold with usual HDDs and this problem was not reported since SMC changed fan design.

P.S. Thank you for the answer

Didn't work with us in our example. Perhaps if you catch it early enough. I wouldn't recommend attempting to save pennies to lottery a buck even if the build calls for it. My 2 cents.
