Robomaid are they worth the price?
Hey Guys,
Was looking at those Robot Vaccums by iRobot and other companies like Samsung etc and wanted to see if the prices are really worth it, do they work or is it more a gimmick because it moves?
Has anyone here got one?
Thanks.██ l Dedigeeks • Shared • Wordpress • Dedicated • Established 2006

It works however the storage capacity, for vacuumed items, is not very large. But Yes They do work. I dont believe that they have issues some have more features, i believe ours had sensors and it would not go out the door, and I have seen them fall down stairs So If you have stairs I would leave it in one room and let it clean, or on a lower level. have a great Day.

Excellent question. Does anyone with pets or small children have one of these things? How do they react?

I had the Roomba 560, works great for picking up pet hairs. Only get rid of it because I moved.

I think I would opt for a Dyson instead. Much better cleaning power, as long as you have the time to vacuum.

I am also thinking which brand is worthy. I am looking at panasonic ang LG, which the most common around my place. I heard of Dyson, the price is pretty high compared to other brand but hard to find from my place. No doubt, Dyson has excellent design, it look simple but modern!

To a certain extent, it works. However, there may be still some spots that would be left un-cleaned.

This has been my experience as well. They generally function as advertised, but occasionally miss spots as they struggle to find their way around obstacles (ie tables, couches, etc.). All in all, not a bad investment, but you may want to stick with conventional vacuum cleaners while the robomaid AI is improved.

It's not a replacement for manual cleanings, it's a nice aid for picking up pet hairs etc during the week.

Seems like a good option to have I suppose
I don't have pets so won't be too much of an issue but good to have I suppose.██ l Dedigeeks • Shared • Wordpress • Dedicated • Established 2006

if you have a dog that occasionally poops inside, do not let your roomba automatically do cleaning sweeps, ugh.

I recently bought a Roomba and I'm very happy with it. I don't have a big place, but it's nice not having to lift a finger to vacuum

They do range from $399 to $1000 as I mentioned so it be hard choosing one that I feel will actually work quite well, from review and looking at some videos it does seem they are only surface cleaning bots - not full on carpet suction vacuums.
But still they look quite clever, wonder if in 10 years it will talk to me.... hmm██ l Dedigeeks • Shared • Wordpress • Dedicated • Established 2006

I don't think there is any suction, but I was still amazed at what it picked up the first time I used it (well, every time). I didn't want to spend to much, so I ended up getting a better model refurbished on eBay. I love scheduling it and coming home to a clean floor
