Angry DMEHosting.Com - EXTREMELY BAD SUPPORT

    Hi
Unfortunately I'm with DMEHosting for 2 years.
    And all these 2 years - like 2 years on a powder-barrel

I faced with their poor support and hours between ticket responses, but now this is really rude and abnormal!

    06/01/2011 14:45
I created ticket, that my DirectAdmin license is expired! Wow! I'm paying every month for this license and suddenly it expired.

    [root]# /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/getLicense.sh XXX XXXX MYIP

HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
    Length: unspecified [text/html]
    Saving to: `/usr/local/directadmin/conf/license.key'

    [ <=> ] 45 --.-K/s in 0s

    2011-06-01 21:32:33 (2.42 MB/s) - `/usr/local/directadmin/conf/license.key' saved [45]

You are not authorized to download the license with that client id and license id (and/or ip). Please email [email protected]

    [root]#

Well I have done such operations hundreds of times.

    12 hours have passed

    06/02/2011 04:57
    No response

    After 10 hours I got a response
    DME Staff
Staff 06/02/2011 15:14 Can you try running that command again? Or give us the SSH port and password so we can troubleshoot this?

No success - Licenses was not renewed, and I can't update it

So for 4 days my server is working without control panel.
I need it to create users, databases, add domains.
I can do these operations without DA, but I'm paying for the panel and I want to work with it.

Also I can't move this server direct to burst.net because DMEHosting is prohibit this!

I would like to move these servers, but I will lose my main IP and addon IPs.

I'm extremely disappointed with extremely slow, poor and unprofessional support.

Please advise me, what can I do

What you could do at least is to move to a new host.

Order a new dedicated server, asked them to help you moved from DMEHosting. And cancel your server from DMEHosting.

You might want to lost the IP than to lost your customers.

Have you asked from burst directly?

But I doubt they will not allow you unless DMEHosting agrees.

Soon or late DME will lose me.
But they can agree to move these boxes to Burst.Net

What are you wanting to do, transfer your data to another dedicated server?

Yes, they are in Burst.Net Data Center.
Just some billing changes between DME and Burst.Net

Technically you are a DME customer not Burst.net customer but I am sure that it is possible for DME to transfer you to Burst.net but they are not obligated to do that for you.

I guess it would be a good PR move to allow the transfer though since you are already decided that you want to leave them but that is up to DME to decide.

Are you sure your not getting the invalid license error because your IP address has changed maybe to a failover?

Sorry but this was not our doing, we had to wait for BurstNET to respond and reactive the license. We haven't been told as to why it was removed, or why it took 4 days.

Why didn't you let the OP know you were waiting for BurstNet? I'm sure a lot of this could have been avoided

Then why could you not just leave a simply rely on the ticket ?

    That is ridiculous

Dmitry, you can buy your own DA license for $99 life time and use that regardless of what server provider you use.

    Dmitry,

As far as resellers go, DME has been extemely good.

The delay in your license being renewed was ours and not theirs. Please do not hold them responsible.

We usually respond quickly to requests like this, but the ticket got mid-assigned on our end.

I hope this helps sort out this misfortunate event and you continue to work with DME.

DME didn't update the client for 4 days, why shouldn't they be held responsible for the lack of response? Do you think 4 days of no response is acceptable?

Only human? I can't speak for DME, all I can do is verify the delay was not their fault.

Also, let the righteous among you cast the first stone.
