    W2Servers Refund Contest

I'd like to suggest we start a contest to see who will be the first person on WHT to receive one of the many refunds that have been promised by Lyron Foster, the CEO of W2Servers. As far as we know he has not been arrested yet, so it is technically a theoretical possibility that at least one human being somewhere on the planet could eventually get a refund from W2Servers.

    WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

In order to join the W2Servers Refund Contest you must have already paid W2Servers for a service you expected to receive.

    HOW CAN I PLAY?

Just reply to this thread and tell us how much money Lyron Foster owes you. Please tell us what you paid for. If you have received any interesting promises feel free to mention those too.

    HOW CAN I WIN?

To win the W2Servers Refund Contest you just need to do two things:

    1) Actually receive a refund from W2Servers
    2) Tell us about it

    WHAT CAN I WIN?

You will win the admiration and no doubt congratulations from many WHT members for having accomplished what so many of us considered as unlikely as flying pigs - actually getting a refund from W2Servers.

    CONTEST END DATE

We're extending this contest until the day after the end of time, we would not want to prematurely declare that nobody has won.

I'll throw up a free supermicro t-shirt to the winner. Realistically though, someone should take this guy to court.

It's pretty obvious, though, honestly are we still eligible if we "PAY" now and request a refund later?

I haven't been too active on WHT for the past week or two. Mind updating me what this is all about?

    A URL may be?

I think you might find that all of the payment processors will refuse to do business with W2Servers at this point, so you might not be able to pay.

    I read the thread.

This has become very boring now. These unscrupulous individuals from the past come up every now and again and cheat everyone with their pants down. Worst part is that everyone falls for it every single time.

Vote for this feature and you'll see a reduction in these type of cases: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1005571

I paid $700 for a server for one year and it became unreachable after two months.

So many people have reported having services they paid for suddenly disappear, one might wonder if there could possibly be intentional fraud going on.

For a server, why did you pay for a cheap vps hosting provider? It seems his service isn't well from begin.

Good luck! We are on day 6 of the contest with no winners yet! Your chances are just as good as everyone else!

  15. #15
I contacted them just over 2 weeks ago about my VPS downtime, No reply yet.

Also sent a ticket to the "CEO's Inbox" no reply.

Added central backups to a VPS. Their central backup server has been offline for over 1 week now.

Reinstalled the OS on one VPS, it has been offline ever since.

Just got this, looks like contest is still on too!
We are aware that some servers are still down due to maintenance and we are working to restore service to those asap.

The remainder of pending refunds should be completed the week of 6/13/11

    Thanks for your patience!

I just checked on my VISA account and there were no refunds from W2Servers yet, so far I'm not the winner.

At this point I'd settle for an episode of Hawaii 50 in which Steve McGarrett and crew burst into the main offices of W2 Servers and we get to hear Steve say "Book 'em, Danno!"

I'd settle for the hundreds of dollars they owe me too.

Owes $72 for three 512 mb VPS accounts. Paid $24 through PayPal and submitted a dispute today. The other 2 accounts were paid by Visa card. I guessing that their merchant account is long gone.

    Charge back the $48.

$24 to be counted as losses.

It's not dead - it's relocated. His suppliers have started pulling the plug on him so he's had to move his WHMCS to an Amazon instance, and at least one of his web sites to a box at Serverbeach in Texas. Take a look from around page 8 on this thread to see what's happened over the last day or 2.

    Hi

    Can I play?

Paid $288 for windows vps (1 year access)

Thought I might win this contest due to the "The remainder of pending refunds should be completed the week of 6/13/11" email.

But alas - no refund received

Their last lie...Everyone blaming Lyron...but what about Kelis Johnson? He was the seller and the W2 domain is under his name.

Is frustrating how hard I have to work to earn the $600+ he/they stole me.

hey I got a refund from them but that was 2 months ago already. back when they still are heavily promoting their spectacular scams of the year.

the servers where never delivered so they issue a refund.
after that I never bothered trying them again or tempted to try their offers specially they always spam my mail inbox even if I already opt out of their mailing system.

am i still legible for this contest ?

I placed an order for their singapore vps on march 30.
They said they ran out(or never had any) of stocks on SG. and refunded it on april 1.

so you never got into trouble with w2 now? glad i made that decision not to be with them again.

  33. #33
So, I was reading a page that was talking about w2 and even though there were people clearly stating the guy was a scammer, and what happened to them, they were still buying his services. "at $24 for a year, what could go wrong?" That's why he is so successful at scamming people..

all people should get there money back along with interest for the long wait except for that indian spammer he never can loose enough (the one who started w2serversscam.info)

I keep getting emails from w2servers saying they processing refunds. Anyone seen one yet (except for the few in April that got them).

Not a penny from my $600+

  38. #38
I paid for 3 upgraded vps servers (like $200+), they didn't refund me a single dime... the worst part is the TIME that I spent there.

I am from Argentina, this is the first time that I get scammed.

What can we do? is there any possibility to make any legal action?? thanks.

Legal action for $200? Not likely.

I doubt that any law enforcement agency will have interest, since business failures are common. You would need to prove that they intended to take the money and run from the very beginning. That would be difficult to prove.

As far as civil action goes, you need to sue them where they live. Since it's only for $200 you can't take the case to a higher court with a lawyer, you would need to take it to small claims court and represent yourself in person. That means traveling to Hawaii, Dallas, or where ever this guy really lives. You would probably prevail in civil court, but the $200 wouldn't begin to cover your travel expenses. I doubt that a small claims court would reimburse $1000 in travel expenses.

    Thanks for the answer...
So, is just that, money lost...

I think I should take more care about what I am buying...

    Thanks.
