IIS 7.5 Basic Authentication w/FastCGI problem

I'm running IIS 7.5 on Windows 2008r2 with some PHP pages being served using FastCGI. I used the Web Platform Installer to enable this and it's been working awesome.

Except.. For some weird reason I can't get Basic Authentication to work. I have a folder where I've disabled anon auth and enabled basic auth. When I try to view this folder I immediately get "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials." but I never see an authentication prompt? I've tried it in FireFox/IE/Crome for a couple computers. Any ideas?

Completely unrelated but I just saw this post in Google's index a mere 15 minutes after I posted it on WHT. No isn't that cool.
