CityNetHost Massive Problems Part 2
Dear Readers,
once again i have serious issues with CityNetHost. All my VPS went offline today 13:00 GMT+1.
None of my VPS (different nodes) are reachable.
Their Website is up although, its beeing routed slight differently as the VPS'es. Looks
like their whole network where the VPS'es are beeing routed through broke up.
Can anyone confirm this please, i cant reach their support.
Kind regards
UPDATE: Website offline aswell now. What the ????.Last edited by fLoo; 06-02-2011 at 09:41 AM.

You are right. Website and all VPS are offline. I will request a well documented protocoll from them or I will leave. This is the first and last downtime with them as my hoster. They don't inform me via email (as like as they said) and there is a completely lack of communication. The problems started yesterday already.

So do i. Did you read their SLA ? They'll refund you a whole day for every hour your VPS is not reachable. Already 3 hours here - 25 Servers = 75 days = already 15 $.

You have 25 individual VPSes with them? Why? Isn't it more economical to get from the same company one bigger server than 25 individual small VPSes?

I read their TOS and there is a statement that they do not guarantee anything. The SLA does apply only when it's under 99.5% uptime.

Its likely not a fault of citynethost, well not fully at least.
The Edge router of LINKdotNET (yes, they are really named like that) (AS24863) seems to have disconnected them, or it does not work at all anymore.

If your service target the Egyptian citizens then i could understand if you are in a bad mood about this, otherwise i would just have moved on to another provider closer to your region.
Please do the needful..

Quote of Khaled:
But we had power failure
and after the power failure
To generators
and then fsck not to lose any data
So yeah it's quite sometime
Node 18 currently is on fsck
So within 1 hour maximum everything will be back normally

Log into SolusVM and watch the right columns - one of them is CityNetNodeX (x=a number).
