    CSS "no-repeat" is not working.

    Hi there,

    I'm working on the following site: and I have put a background that I want not to repeat. In the style sheet I have indicated this right after I call the background image, however it's still tiling. Any ideas as how to get this to stop? You can view the stylesheet here:

    You have a duplicate style calling the same background image for <body> in the html itself.

    Look on line 61 of your html:

    HTML Code:
    <!-- Custom Background -->
    <style type="text/css">
    body {background: #ffffff url(; }
    There's no "no-repeat" declared there and this will override what's set in your css file.

    Looks like you have the background image defined in the page, not in the stylesheet. Check your template.

    Thanks for the quick response, folks. It pulls from a custom setting in the Wordpress theme itself. It doesn't allow me to select a non repeating background from the options, thus I have to delete it out of the header file so that it just pulls from the CSS sheet instead of that option in the backend.

    If you don't want to modify the header, you can always have your style.css override the style in your <head> tag:

    body {background: #ffffff url( no-repeat !important; }
