    Urgent delegate sub-domains

    Hi there.

I'm a little confused and hope someone can help.

I'm working with a 3rd party on a project and they have sent this email.....

'Dan, to ease and secure access to our online management interface we
would require you to delegate a couple of sub-domains from as follow:

For the account management: We would also require SSL for this domain.

For the feed: No SSL requirements here.' - (email ends)

I've been asked to delegate the two Sub domains to a 3rd party im working with so they can manage the DNS, If you can get them delegated to the following DNS servers: and

My questions is, are they simply asking me to change the name servers and set the to above or, add a CNAME and setting the host/data to and
but if they are asking me to change the CNAME, does it matter if i point to or can i point it a Ns2.thirdParty,net ??

    Thanks in Advance.

What it sounds like to me, is that they want the subdomains controlled by different and separate DNS servers than the primary domain name.

I haven't done it before, but I think what you'll want to look into is Zone Delegation. I don't think it has anything to do with a CNAME.
