Allow Access to a VMware Virtual Machine from another network.
I have installed vmware ESXi 3.5 on my server. It is my first server, I have now separated the server for a couple of vm's machine and installed different OS. It seems that it works fine but when I was with my friend so I could not connect to my server using VMware Infrastructure Client and I cant either connect via rdp to the virtual machines.
It seems that no one can connect to my server from another network.
Someone know how can I allow access to the Virtual Machine because I plan to rent them out. Therefore,I want make everything work as it should . By the way, I have dynamic IP address.
The server is behind a router,"Netgear" I crated port forwarding to one of the Virtual machines. I forwarded port 3389 to 3389 and its worked well for rdp. When i tried to open 3389 for the second virtual machine, I failed and got error, port conflicting.
I used this setting for the second virtual machine:
IP adress: xxx.xxx.1.5
Start port: 3388
End port : 3389
Setting for the first virtual machine
IP adress: xxx.xxx.1.4
Start port: 3389
End port :3389
( I was able to connect to the vm via rdp from outside the network. Before i was able to connect locally only)
Any solution for my issue?
What start and end Port should I use for the second vm?
