How long to wait for account setup
Signed up with tinyvps.ca, paid and received all of my login information.
However, I can't connect to the VPS via SSH. Using the Console from the SolusVM interface, I can see that there is no external interface configured for the VPS. Did a re-install of different version of CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu but still can't seem to get access to it.
How long should I wait on this, ordered it yesterday Afternoon. Spoiled by instant activations, but broken instant activations and the amount of time it takes to fix. I know I check my email for people I deal with at least 12 hours. Or have someone available while I'm away.

I've emailed their contact address on the website and "Matt" who has a WHT account about 13 hours ago. As for a ticket, there is just an email address and no auto reply from that email address with a ticket number.

what control panel do they offer? SolusVM? If you could access the vps via console you should be able to access it via SSH.
But if they mention instant setup, it should have been activated.

They're using SolusVM, I can access it via Console, which uses a different IP address and login.
I can't telnet to port 22 on the IP Address I was given. Doing an ifconfig from console doesn't provide a public IP that I could connect to.
It looks like the server wasn't provisioned properly. The time to even hear from them is starting to worry me.

I would not be happy with that kind of new experience. But at the same time, it is your time and money. Hard for anyone else to say when is too much time. There could be a logical and understandable reason and it could be just as it looks, not good. If you are comfortable waiting more then keep trying to contact them and wait for a response.

I just wanted some opinions as I haven't found much information about TinyVPS or Kerplunc Hosting on WHT. At least this will stand as a testament to their setup and support, hopefully no one else ends up experiencing the same.

I've seen this problem with several of my personal VPSs w/ various vendors. I am not sure if this is a SolusVM issue or OS template.
What would happen is the VPS is running fine. Rebooted, only lo device is left. I just look at my backup file and hard-code the network stuff in.
But yea... check with your VPS provider. Good lucks.SysAdmin.xyz
Having severs with customer data on it without proper monitoring is like having one night stand without using protections - eventually, there will be an 'oh s**t!' moment.

Deployment times vary by company. Some claim instant set up, while those who take their business seriously do some sort of fraud screening and it could be 12-24 hours. Some web hosting companies weekend hours will also be taken into account.

setup should be fast and mostly is within 24 hours. But if you do migration then maybe need more time because it depend how many database and file you transfer.
But it you contact them that you urgent, i think they should be help you with it.

I hope this experience will end in a good manner. Did they contact you yet? If not then if I were I think you should think twice on continuing with this particular provider.

It's now on CentOS, so..
[root@irc sysconfig]# cat network
NETWORKING="yes"
GATEWAY="192.0.2.1"
HOSTNAME="www"
At this point I don't really care about whats wrong with the VPS. The lack of communication is the issue. I'm cancelling now.
