Can only view website with Proxy.

I recently moved my website to a new server and now I'm running into issues.

About every 20 minutes my site Times out, my website will work fine for 10 minutes or so, then give me a Timed Out Error again.

While I'm in the timed out mode, I go to hidemyass.com and I can view the website fine. It will time out a little, but will come back with no problem.

This same thing also happens when I connect to the site with an FTP program.

I've tried clearing the DNS, restarting the modem/pc.
    Any other ideas?

    Hello,

For sure your IP is blocked in the server firewall. Ask your provider to unblock the IP and ask them for the reason for the block, so that you can resolve the issue.

I thought it may be blocked, but it doesn't make sense how it works every now and then.

So I need to contact the host, not my ISP, right?

    Hello,

First you need to contact your host. If they can't find issues you need to check your traceroute to find whether there is any issue with your ISP.

    Hello,

It seems to be PING results. You need to do traceroute using the below given command when you have issue.

    traceroute yourdomain.com

Contact your host with the traceroute results when you are having issues. It will be easy for them to troubleshoot.

    Trace aborted.
Then when I did the IP of my website, it never said Timed Out...So this is probably the ISP?

    Hello,

Yes, for linux. If you are using Windows use the below given command :

    tracert yourdomain.com
" Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it. "

Most likely your IP being blocked by the your web hosting providers firewall, due setting off mod_security or too many failed login attempts. Your provider can soon tell you what the problem is after checking logs, etc.

You mentioned you recently moved to the new server? How long ago? It might be just a propagation issue, and will fix itself after 72 hours or so.

Ok I did it that way, I don't know how to copy Command Prompt results, but basically 1 to 23 show results, and 24 to 30 show Timed Out. Any ideas?

The server was moved almost 3 days ago. I also might need to note the server is in Germany, and I am in the US.

    Hello,

I am not sure of IP Ranges. Contact your host with these trace results so that they can identify whether it is there IP range or not.

    Run the traceroute again using:

    tracert domain.com

Then right click command prompt screen and press enter. Then hold shift + c and shift + v to paste the results into the thread.

Provide that to your hosting provider and ask them to check logs, etc.
