Hi, I run a hosting company and for about 2 weeks, I had a client that tries to create accounts with stolen credit card about 10 times a day, we use WHMCS with Maxmind anti-fraud system, but sometimes the order seems to pass by MaxMind and the client has it's account created, we, of course, suspend and erase his account but he keeps trying and it seems to work some times.
Yes we do, but it is a computer that's calling. Managed to get past it so either he tries to register with a valid credit card, but he's still sending TONS of spam with our servers, or he really has "good" fake credit card numbers.
we, of course, suspend and erase his account but he keeps trying and it seems to work some times.
I am facing same problem so I want to give my some important advice.
First do not remove his account, just suspend or close account(For a record purpose) and then make a list of your fraud client or you can move his account to "Fraud client group" and when you get a new order then check his email, host name, home address, etc with fraud clients.
How to avoid?
99.99% fraud come from this email/hostname.
