    VPN Control Panel

    Hi Everyone,

I am currently working on a OpenVPN control panel, not sure if it will completed yet with not much free time.

However what do you think the must have features for a VPN control panel would be?

    Cheers!

    Hi

Choice of shared ip or dedicated ip for the VPN.
Password rules , ie enforce complex passwords.
Possible restrictions on what ports can be accessed via the VPN
    Reseller account functionality

These are few things that spring to mind.

    Thanks

    Andrew

be able to bind to another database for account management / user definitions (so that customer management isn't duplicated) or scripting interface just the same.
nice interface for the users to get their connection scripts from
    traffic shaping option?
firewalling option? (look at google capircahttp://deranfangvomende.wordpress.co...oogle-capirca/ if you wanna tackle that.

    edit: and a backup option

When it's done, will it be free, or paid?

Probably a per account/user monthly fee, however might also do something like under 5 VPN accounts is free.

Bandwidth restrictions and data usage restrictions .
A mobile edition for on the go administration .

This project indeed sounds very interesting...

You should check out openvpn, then see if you can add to that and make it better.

A decent API would be nice.

How is progress? I believe there is a market for such an application however I imagine configuring it for a specific host could take a bit of tinkering.
