Best Open Source Forum - ?

Whats the best open source forum(message board)?

I've considered These Below, but unsure which one actually will have future support, and has the most features/options, and is actively being developed.

So far I'm not liking Vanilla Forums just because it doesn't seem like it has different categories..

I've used MyBB and I found it quite nice to use. The only issue that I found was related to SEO. By default there URLs used are poor and the SEO plugin available did cause some issue for me.

You can give smf a shot. You can find very nice free themes from http://www.dzinerstudio.com/

MyBB is my forum of choice at the moment. Clean, easy to use, regular updates, lots of themes and add-ons.

I prefer SMF, mainly because of the options available in the control panel. phpBB simply requires too much work and too many mods to make it usable.
    [GB ≠ GiB] [MB ≠ MiB] [kB ≠ kiB] [1000 ≠ 1024] [Giga ≠ gram] [Mega ≠ milli] [Kelvin ≠ kilo] [Byte ≠ bit]
There is no millibit. There is no gram-bit. There is no Kelvin-Byte.

I think it all depends on personal preference and what features you are looking for/ease of use etc.

    I personally use smf.

Simplemachines has just released 2.0 Gold after years of waiting. I like it, with MyBB as a strong second place choice.

I've always preferred phpBB. I'm looking forward to their next major release, whenever that may be.

I have a strong belief towards the MyBB forum because on using this for SEO operations I perform.
