Of course not! I can genuinely say I love the web hosting business (and I am not being sarcastic). With that being said, I am always involved in a large amount of design work as well, so that probably curbs some of the boredom I might experience if I were to do nothing but web hosting.

    NEVER

In all seriousness, I havent been involded in an industry where I can be kept so busy even if its just posting on here for acouple of hours a day

Maybe you should start revising your business plan or maybe plan to expand into other markets, You could even start doing cash projections for the next 2-3 years, Theirs loads of things within your business you could be doing right now...

A good tip is to have an A4 Folder marked as "FUTURE" this is where you keep your "future" plans for the business then everytime you find yourself with afew hours spare or simply getting bored, Just pull that folder out and start working on the future of your business

I personally have 2 folders, One for "CURRENT" this includes my business plan, Marketing plan, etc, Then another one called "FUTURE" this is where my future cash projections and pipe line dreams are placed, But make sure it all interlocks together...

then once I am happy that my business is being treated like a queen
If am still bored, I simply login to one of my lowendboxes (VPS) then start playing with different control panels and flavours of linux...

Theirs endless things you could be doing Faris, Even if its playing with various linux flavours its all good and productive stuff for the future of your business

I find this industry fascinating and not boring at all.

Something or the other comes up: customer support, maintenance, site design, updating various content, WHT posting, learning new language, scripting work, occasional planning, interacting with people.... and many others!!!

I have always found web hosting business to be more exciting than a web design business.

Sometimes, yeah, but it's not something that takes up a lot of my time so I'm focused on other activities too.

Only when I get frustrated with Linux.

Or generally when I run into a problem and it requires a lot of never ending command prompt fixing.

I like the point an click interface of having the PC / Server in front of me. And unlike most, dislike command prompts.

But then again, I'm not a web host

Been in web hosting for almost 10 years now. Luckily it's a pretty fast moving technology, so you're always able to come up with new product lines and changes to existing ones. Keeps it interesting.

It's a growing industry, you need to keep yourself update each and everyday. I would say, it's boring, but it earns bucks.

I hate the clients. Most aren't bad but the bad ones do more than enough to annoy the hell out of me.

Always the world for $9.95. Maybe I'm in the wrong niche.

I'm becoming a misanthrope and I can't say I'm all that worried about it.

Haha. Yea, some clients even get on your nerve even they are using it for free.

I've got my foot out the door. Too much stupidity at my current gig. IMO if your going to do something you do it right. Customers suffer, techs suffer, and the bottom line suffers. I'm tired of trying to drag them down the right path.

Bad reviews always suck, most of the time its just a misguided client. Other times its just a royal rare screwup on our part. In the 3 years I have been in hosting I have only received a handful of bad reviews its just part of the learning process hosts of any age or experience go through.

Exactly. No host love it - i treat them as free advertising.

Also, with no bad reviews - you have dont know the rooms for improvements
