One table InnoDB + swap and memory problems
Since one of my database's table has been changed to InnoDB (the others are MyIsam and one is in Memory), I noticed at the beginning of the day (after I wake up) that :
- the server had been swaping between 2 am and 6 am (I've been watching TOP up to 2 am).
- it's written that nearly all memory is used and that there is only about 200/300 M free...
Yesterday, it came back to normal around 11 am, but today it's still going on (it's 1 pm).
I also noticed that the "Temporary tables created on disk" value rose from about 10/14% to 28%.
Do you know why this is happening and what should be done ?
Here is my my.cnf (I only have one line for InnoDB) :
[mysqld] datadir=/var/lib/mysql socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock log-slow-queries = /var/log/mysql-slow.log long_query_time = 5 log-long-format #log-queries-not-using-indexes log-warnings=2 skip-locking #skip-innodb query_cache_limit=6M query_cache_size=384M query_cache_type=1 query_cache_min_res_unit=2K tmp_table_size=512M max_heap_table_size=512M max_user_connections=250 max_connections=500 interactive_timeout=100 wait_timeout=100 connect_timeout=60 thread_cache_size=512 key_buffer_size=3072M max_allowed_packet=32M table_cache=3072 join_buffer_size=2M sort_buffer_size=6M read_buffer_size=2M read_rnd_buffer_size=4M max_connect_errors=10 thread_concurrency=8 myisam_sort_buffer_size=1024M low_priority_updates=1 concurrent_insert=2 server-id=1 innodb_buffer_pool_size=256M

do this .. wget mysqltuner.pl then perl mysqltuner.pl and review the output, it may point to the source of a problem.
