Unhappy Weak VPS or overloaded ? (kloxo problem ?)

Hello, I have VPS in germany from Xsserver.eu and kloxo panel:
    VPS details:
    CPU - 8.40 GHz RAM - 512/1024 MB Disk Space - 45 GB Data Transfer - 650 GB
    My site details:
    Online about: 30 -40
    Unique per day: 1k
    CMS: DLE
    Problems:
My server few times every day server is very slow and sometimes do not reply and hang on few minuts.

Well, I think that the responsible for this is kloxo panel because every day push in to my home folder a lot of logs and other statistics with huge size. So how I can block it ? I just want to stop making stats and logs by my server.

Or it is other reason why my server is slow ?

    Thanks for help .

It's probably not related to Kloxo.
It's more likely an issue with your actual site code/contents.

Consider this fairly crass medical analogy:
Patient: My wiener hurts, quick, how do I cut it off?
Doctor: Maybe we should diagnose it before taking drastic actions.

    Get the idea?

Sure, you have right but about what you want consider ? I think that my serwer isn't strong and probably using some of memory to do few unnecessary things for example detailed statistics. So I just want to switch off it and maybe something else .

    Can you help ?

I LOL'ed at the above post but if you really want to cut your wiener off you can just set a cron job to rm -Rf /home/admin/*.log every 15 minutes (guessing as I have never used kloxo but you get the drift)

edit: ok the one above the one above

    Hello,

You can disable logs under "Stats" option at Kloxo. For your random downtimes, it could be overloaded Node, heavy resource intensive script or VPS missconfiguration.

There are many reasons why your site may be slow/unresponsive.

    1) Is the node overloaded?
    2) Looks like you are using OpenVZ with 1024 burstable. Depending on how much RAM is being used; that may or may not be the problem.
    3) Oftentimes, mySQL may be sucking up your RAM
    4) Or the node's disk i/o may be overloaded.

I'd suggest running "top" from the command line.

Note how much CPU "load" you have. Then also look at how much free RAM you have. Also check your disk transfer rate.

You can run a simple disk I/O test with:
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/output.img bs=8k count=256k

    <20 Mbps is "slow"
    20-60 Mbps is "ok"
    >60 Mbps is pretty good for a VPS
