Please help me find a VPS

    What I want:
Quality > quantity hardware + service.
    Managed + cPanel or equivalent.
US based, TX or further East.
    Low HD/BW requirements.
    2 or more IPs.
    32 bit, I can live with 64.

    What I don't want:
    Phone support.
    Resellers.
    High BW.
    High HD.

    Budget:
    $50 tops.

Servint currently in the lead, WiredTree a possibility. Thanks all, this and any related advice is invaluable.

Take a look at the VPS Offers section here on WHT and you should find many that fit your needs and budget, then you can just research reviews

I've done lots of research, many searches all over. But my requirements for resources are currently quite low, the offers aren't necessarily that helpful and it makes finding an appropriate VPS trickier.

Your budget is reasonable for low resources requirements.

That is a common reply isn't it? Knownhost has servers in Dallas I believe and TMZHosting has servers in Florida as does Hostdime.

Best of luck with your search.

Our shared, reseller and dedicated servers are in Texas. All VPS servers are in Florida.

ServInt is the absolute best. I've been with them for over a year and don't have any complaints whatsoever.

Yes your budget should help you meet your requirements by a long shot. Are you currently hosted somewhere and looking to move? Or is this a new project?

If you want a quality hardware make sure the Node runs server-grade hardware and fast SAS drives with RAID10.

    I recommend KnownSRV.

If it is USA based websites, latency anywhere in the USA should be negligible.

Your requirement for "fully managed" with cPanel for $50 is the tricky part.

Most likely you'll have to go with an OpenVZ based 512 with 1024MB burstable to stay under that $50 envelope. It will most likely be a moderately oversold host node.

I find VPS, my budget is 15 EURO?

Thanks everybody, I went with Wiredtree. I was called and set up within three hours despite it being an unsociable time of the day. I used support just once for a minor query, had a response within three minutes despite labelling it as insignificant priority.

But it became clear I didn't need managed hosting, so after one month I moved on. I'm now with Linode's unmanaged service and even happier. Pre-sales query was answered very quickly, set-up was instant and their control panel is outstanding! I don't think I'd want to be without it now.

My experience has been too limited to give a proper review, but I have nothing but praise about what I did get to try in both cases.

Linode is best on flexible XEN vps. But according to my experience their nodes are not stable and you get down time repeatedly.
