We have been having issues with the STORM server which increased earlier this week with a raid card failure. This is one of the oldest servers in our openvz line and we actually have been working to move customers off of our older platform and onto newer servers featuring 5520 or 5620 CPU's. Part of the problem has been in regards to the delay in IP migration by some customers as well.
We expect to have the replacement card later today.
This server has hardware RAID 10 so we were not able to just take the disks and attach to another server for access.
We will issue credits and provide a full root cause and plan of action once this has been resolved.
Are they working on it? I don't know what could possibly went wrong to cause a week of downtime.

One week down time seems pretty insane without no contact or update of saying something happen..
I hope you had a up to date back up and your looking for a new provider? I personally couldn't see being down for a week without no notice or assistance and then sticking with them. :/
Good luck, I hope everything works out.. and I hope you don't obtain any data loss, but with a week+ down time, it might be a hardware issue or a data issue and there trying to replace it, that's the only thing i could think of for having a week+ down time, unless a server bill didn't get paid?
What could cause a week down time; that they wouldn't announce? Any ideas?
If you have backups of your data, ask them to provision a new VPS for you on a new node and then you can restore your backups. If you don't have backups and really need the data that is in that VPS you have no choise but sit and wait.
