Will someone please help me understand this? I'm really confused, and reading the stuff here, at Cobalt, etc, is making me even more confused.

I've got a RaQ4 at rackshack, and I don't want to use rackshack's name servers - I want to setup my own.

As you know, I have one main IP for the entire server. I will be setting up virtual accounts for my clients, and want to be able to give them my custom name servers (ns1.mydomain.com, ns2.mydomain.com) to use when they signup.

I've obtained an additional two IPs from rackshack as I know I need one for each name server. That was the easy part to understand. I know pointing both primary and secondary name servers to the same physical server is stupid, but for now, I only have the one box.

So, my questions - what do I need to do to configure these in the RaQ4 setup? And once I do, what do I need to do to each virtual site? I know once they are setup, I will need to register these with my domain registar, no problem, I know how to do that.

Like I said, the more I read, the more I'm confused. The only guide that made complete sense to me was the one at www.cobalt.com/support/wp.dns.html But that only helps me when setting up new virtual accounts. I have no idea how this works. I've tried to help myself but it's not working.

Can someone nudge (or boot...) me in the right direction?

Many thanks in advance.
