    WHMCS Ticket Spam

    Hi,

I seem to be getting more and more ticket spam coming in however the weird thing is, When I check the gmail inbox there are no emails (not even in the spam box) so I am not sure where whmcs is getting the ticket info from. Has anyone else seen this happen?

    Kind Regards

    Matthew

Is there an IP Address as the bottom of the ticket? If so it's coming in via the ticket./pre-sales form, so enable captcha under Setup > General Settings > Security tab.

We also have had some spam runs via the whmcs ticket system and the spammer kept on signing up so he didn't have to enter the captcha code.
Pretty frustrating, but we fixed it by banning their IPs

This has been experienced on our website recently.

Let me explain the exact problem that almost got me off my desk.
I login to WHMCS admin area, i noticed i had a good number of tickets submited, but when i navigated to the ticket section to find why the tickets where unassigned i noticed that there where no tickets there.

This has repeated it self again, not until i found this thread.

I will activate capcha right away and wait to see if this happens again.

This sounds more like you aren't assigned to all your support departments; Setup > Administrators > Edit.

You need to apply capcha code = on for all to prevent ticket spam.

But equally as I found... there is no CAPTCHA which stops people asking for free hosting (perhaps WHMCS could develop this... hehe)!
