Question

PHPmyAdmin + My SQL

Hi
I have My SQL DB installed on my Win2k server with PHPmyAdmin. And I am unable to give user privileges to add databases and users. I will be able to add users but that user can see every database on it ( LocalHost) So I want restrict that user for adding his databases and his users.

pls tell me how to do it,

Have you tried just applied the 'global' create permissions, w/o select permissions?

What global permissions do you give to uses by default?

When you create a new user in PHPMyAdmin (the Any host - Any user page), the permissions that you set here are applied to all the dabases, I called these 'global permissions'.
So I'd try just adding the create permission and nothing else.

After you click on the 'grants' link for the individual user account, you can set specific permissions for the individual databases.
