    Uptime monitor; Requested Features

When looking at an uptime monitoring service; what features do you look for and what would you like?

SMS and multiple locations seem to be the major features.

Would you consider having backup services with the uptime service?

Two diff locations and checks hourly and emails you on any down sites, and for an extra fee, SMS's you too.

Other than that its all fluff.

Checks every 5 minutes, to have a fast response if anything would happen, email, monthly report, and would also pay for SMS as an extra fee. With the backups, it depends on their prices, type of backup and overall reputation of the provider.

If server is offline more than 15 minutes, no email/sms are sending (to prevent spam). Ajax monitor at www site would be good thing.
