    Site5 is continuing to grow and we are looking to add some new people to our support team. Although we are looking for people with technical expertise, more importantly, we would like for them to have a background in helping people use and understand technology. We believe that part of what makes us unique is the outstanding support we provide to our customers and we are looking for people who share that vision.

    Our support team provides technical support for our shared, reseller, dedicated, and VPS customers.

    General Requirements (all positions):

    * Excellent customer service skills.
    * Love of helping people and love for the Internet!
    * A high speed Internet connection.
    * Phone & computer microphone for Skype.
    * Fast typer.
    * Fluent in English (written and oral).
    * Responsible person who can work remotely with little direct supervision.

    Available Positions:

    Position 1 - L1 Support Specialist (1 Opening)

    Primary Responsibilities:

    * Provide support to our shared, reseller, VPS, and dedicated web hosting customers via live chat.
    * Answer basic sales questions from potential new customers via live chat.

    Secondary Responsibilities:

    * Assist customers via our help desk.
    * Verify and provision new orders.

    Technical Requirements:

    * Experience with broad set of web hosting topics, including troubleshooting basic website problems, e-mail issues, connectivity issues, etc.
    * Experience with cPanel/WHM and providing technical support to people using it.
    * Understanding of sales and able to handle tickets that involve both support and subtle sales pitches.

    Available Shift (1 Opening):

    Wednesday through Sunday, 7am - 3pm US Eastern Time


    Position 2 - Server Specialist/Sysadmin (1 Opening)

    Primary Responsibilities:

    * Monitor and respond to server problems reported by Nagios.
    * Address load spikes, dDoS attacks, spam outbreaks, site resource abuse issues, etc.
    * Handle server blacklisting issues.

    Technical Requirements:

    * Linux ninja with solid understanding of Redhat/CentOS.
    * Clear understanding of tools like top, ps, netstat, portstat, tcpdump, grep.
    * How to manage the Exim mail queue and troubleshoot e-mail server problems.
    * MySQL server management and optimization.
    * How to use the CSF/LFD firewall tool and iptables.
    * Some experience with bash scripting.
    * Knowledge of cPanel and all its subsystems (Apache, BIND, MySQL, PHP, Exim, Courier and many more).
    * Extreme comfort in a terminal window.

    Available Shift (1 Opening):

    Monday through Friday, 1pm - 9pm US Eastern Time


    Position 3 - L2 System Administrator (2 Openings)

    Responsibilities:

    * Providing customer support through our ticket system for L2 issues, which have been escalated by our live chat operators and L1 technicians.

    Secondary Responsibilities:

    * Assist our server managers with any stability and load related issues on servers.
    * Perform account migrations for customers.
    * Respond to and investigate abuse issues (spam/phishing).

    Technical Requirements:

    * Experienced in using and managing Linux from the command line.
    * Intermediate experience with cPanel & WHM and providing technical support to people using it.
    * Intermediate experience with cPanel's sub-systems including Apache, BIND, MySQL, PHP, Exim, Courier.
    * Experience with a broad set of web hosting topics and popular open source software (Wordpress, Drupal, phpBB, etc.)
    * Understanding of sales and able to handle tickets that involve both support and subtle sales pitches.

    Available Shifts:

    Monday through Friday, 1pm - 9pm US Eastern Time (2 Openings)
