Hey guys,

The current host we are with has too much downtime and waayyyyy too many outages.

I'm looking for a host that can provide us with 98% uptime and less than 10 outages a week under normal circumstances. Besides great technical service, superior customer service would be nice too.

You guys know anyone who can help?

MDDHosting seems to be reliable and speedy. Their support is great, which is a plus. I'm happy with them.

What kind of your website you have? is it a high traffic website with CMS or just a static site?
And since you're looking for new host provider, what are your requirements to host your website? (by the way, who is your current web host provider?)

-24/7 support with helpdesk system
-unlimited or cheap sub domains
-unlimited addon domains

Read reviews people write here. You would get an information friom the real clients and become able to build a notion of certain hosts.

You may also visit an offer section and try to find the right company for your needs. Reviews can also be found on this forum.

In my experience, even the budget hosting services that have a poor reputation here, manage to get 99.8%+ uptime, so you're setting a really low standard.

I do suggest you stay away from brands owned by EIG though, because out of 5 brands that they own and I've tried, only 1 has what I would call acceptable uptime, and 3 had lower than 98% uptime.

Sounds to me like you are on a shared server if you are down so many times per week. You can easily get with another host here for better uptime

If you are already satisfied with 98% uptime and less than 10 outages a week with your new host, you must have really experienced very bad uptime with your current host.

There are many reliable hosts with 99% uptime or better. I suggest to check the promotional offers at WHT and then check for reviews and opinions about the webhosting companies you are interested in.
