    OpenVZ and Too Many Open Files issue

    Hello Guys,
    I am running an VPS on my dedicated server, and i get Too Many Open Files error on the VPS,

    I have checked the UBC Settings and it says numfile : 23999976
    and i also edited /etc/security/limits.conf on the guest to allow more then 1024 files,

    any ideas on how to fix this ?

    what failcnt when you get that error? what are you trying to do when you get that error?

    I get this error in utorrent which runs under wine, this is not related to wine though, i had such issue before on dedicated servers and managed to fix by editing sysctl file, however under openvz it doesnt allow me to

    Can you paste the output of the following command?

    cat /proc/user_beancounters

    vzctl set [CTID] --numfile [Number of files] --save

    You might need to do numproc too.

    Did that via SolusVM and also as you said getting same error for some reason
    Any ideas ?
