    I don't understand how having MLB take over the payroll is a better option than selling an asset you can't afford, for a profit. How is this even happening?

    Never going to happen. The Dodgers are a storied franchise. Someone will scoop them up and its business as usual again

    Exactly what WebairMetz said, The dodgers have such a good history in the mlb, that if they do start to lack payroll, their would be alot of rich men interested in buying them.
