    * BIG problem with timezone

    In WHMCS I have put in configure.php the timezone of Los_Angeles and for my VPS I can't seem to change the date in there. I googled for about 3 hours and found nothing. Could someone help me figure this issue?

    Therefore TZ='America/Los_Angeles' will be used.
    Local time is now: Wed Mar 28 13:36:13 PDT 2012.
    Universal Time is now: Wed Mar 28 20:36:13 UTC 2012.
    Is the above information OK?
    1) Yes
    2) No
    #? 1

    You can make this change permanent for yourself by appending the line
    TZ='America/Los_Angeles'; export TZ
    to the file '.profile' in your home directory; then log out and log in again.

    Here is that TZ value again, this time on standard output so that you
    can use the /usr/bin/tzselect command in shell scripts:
    America/Los_Angeles
    root@server1 [~]#

    root@server1 [~]# date
    Wed Mar 28 13:36:34 PDT 2012
    root@server1 [~]#

    Ok, the system time is incorrect on top of the time zone. What kind of VPS is this - OpenVZ or Xen or KVM? Or maybe it is dedicated server?

    For OpenVZ your host has to set the correct system time on the hostnode. Open a ticket with your host and ask them to fix the time.
