VPS with VMWare Server
I had a bit of a search around on the forum but didn't really get any conclusive answers.
Can I host VPSs using VMWare Server 2 (free license), because what I gather from their policy it isn't allowed, but it doesn't actually say it directly. Anyone got any ideas?
1 - It would run like crap even if it was allowed
2 - Use ESX.
The CPU I am running (AMD Athlon 64 2X 5600+) doesn't support ESX does it?
Athlon 64 X2 5600+ supports AMD-V so it should be OK for hardware-assisted virtualisation
After googling for a bit it looks like it might not be supported by VMware anyway, checkout Xen or KVM instead?

You will get much more performance out of ESXi 4.1 than the free version of vmware server. Although the EULA, I believe, excludes using ESXi (free) for hosting companies.
