    Continuum data center review

    Well, other than the outages a while ago they have been great -- But last night, my server got a flaky hard drive -- so now have to deal with night support -- and all I can say is FANTASTIC! I had emails answered fast, good help, and the same this afternoon. While my server will be done for a bit(heading to PHPtek so fix it then) the service at continuum has been high quality! Have been here now since April and so far they have been really good to deal with. They were even really great about helping out when my server arriving crunched by fedex!

    My April 2011 stats for my host at Continuum:

    Uptime Percentage: 99.90%
    Total downtime: 0h 43m 02s
    Number of downtimes: 13

    uh can you explain what kind of downtime that was? maybe rebooting your server 13 times? seems like 3.37 minutes average could be it if it had a lot of things to initialize, scan.. i want to know.

    This is definitely user fault since my servers haven't experienced downtime since Jan 18

    Server has been up since the power outage incident earlier this year. No reboots or anything since then. I think I need to get off the month to month and moved to a better switch. Time to email Shauna.

    Continuum says there was someone on my switch that gets continually ddos'd. Supposedly the client is now gone so we will see if things get better. There seemed to be at least 3-4 small outages per week for up to 5 minutes at a time. Hopefully this is now resolved.
