    GUI with C

    Hey

    How do u do GUI with C programming.

    I know only C programming. I havent tried GUI. What should be installed for GUI to work with C

    I used to create GUI using X/X-Motif on C. But on Linux, there is some KDE/Gnome C++ libraries too are available. They all will be based on Motif. Same with Java.

    I think you're going down the wrong road. Yes, you can make GUIs in C, but the vast majority of GUI toolkits are C++, Java, C#, Python, etc.

    It's much easier to write and use a GUI with OOP languages, which is why they are so popular for GUIs. I suggest you learn an OOP language.

    What are you trying to build ? - GTK is probably the most popular C UI toolkit.

    You can use something like Gnome, GTK etc.

    If you want to code the entire thing yourself, you can read the book "Let Us C" by "Yashwant Kanithkar". He has a small topic in that. It uses the header file win.c

    i recomend GTK+ , you can find some tutorial on google.
    so before buy the book , see some tutorial it can help studying GTK+ easily
