    Best billing [Free]

Whats the best billing thats similar to WHMCS? I plan to migrate to WHMCS when I gain an income to support the costs.

WHMcs has a free trial you can use...

You should be prepared to make zero profit in the first few month of a hosting company, may be even the first year.

My serious suggestion would be to save up some investment and do it right first time

    Best of luck!

agreed with iTom. if $16 bucks a month is not in your business plan I would really suggest holding off. I wouldn't trust any piece of free billing software with my clients sensitive information!

I don’t think their is a system similar to WHMCS which is free, I know account labs+ is free but it looks horrible and its buggy.

Take a look at clientexec from licensepal its only $8.95 / month but has a limit of 25 clients, This is much better and safer than any free option out their plus its a steal, Then when you get more clients you can upgrade to WHMCS as its only a couple of bucks or so more expensive a month.

I don't think having a billing software separated from the control panel is the way to go.

Alternatively, You can also get a reseller account from any reliable hosting providers out there - most of them provide WHMCS license for free

Maybe you need 'license' of this to run. I'm not sure about it.

Edit: Confirmed, you need a license.

I will suggest you chill and save up for WHMCS and don't crack your head on free billing cos it can cause you lot of damage and more work.

    Agreed!

It's best to do it right the first time. In the long run it'll be a hassle in terms of migrating the old software to the new billing system.

Take a look at CitrusDB. It's open source (free), it does recurring billing, and since it's php with a mysql backend it's easy on resources and runs on any platform.
