Blackberry = Superfast DNS Resolution.
I'm not sure if this is the same for all phone networks, but I'm on o2 (blackberry).
I've noticed that domain NS resolution literally updates within minutes on a blackberry!
I think it's crazy, as I've been configuring a new dedi and can access my site on blackberry but not pc, even after flushing dns.
I'd have expected my cable broadband provider to have better dns access, being fiber-optic too.
Blackberry's DNS gateway must be huge!
Anyone tried this?
I have got a Blackberry Curve 8520 with Virgin Media and they are really fast!
I also have a personal email with them. " [email protected]" And that works extremly fast!
The DNS is run by blackberry for BIS and BES so reps to them to be honest.
It must be fast then. RIM is based in America or somewere near there.
BlackBerry probably just has a very large amount of DNS resolver nodes so it's less likely that they'll have your domain in cache. Especially if you don't visit your site too often from your BB. But your ISP is more likely to have it cache (and again, especially if you visit it often from PC).
