    Remote FTP Server (Passive mode transfer)

    hello guys

    i want to move my files to a new server
    but in Cpanel -> Backups -> Generate/Download a Full Backup
    i don't know which 1 to chose to move files either "Remote FTP Server" or "Remote FTP Server (Passive mode transfer)"

    help would be great

    You can use either, the "passive mode transfer" is alternative option for the first one incase it doesn't work for you.

    Normally you will want to use passive mode as this is to handle servers firewalls. If it does not work try the other one but should be ok to go with passive.

    Passive mode is probably going to be your best bet.

    I think I can ask here rather than creating a new thread.

    Do I have to backup my files right after the site is done? I just encountered a client's hosting that gave a new cpanel account when he forgot the password of his original cpanel account. Do you think I need to do that even when i automatically turn-over everything to him once i completed his order. Is it my responsibility or his?
