Talking Just did a couple upgrades *Pics*

Yesterday I just did a couple upgrades to my MacBook Pro and took a shot. Hardware buffs will appreciate this upgrade.

    13" MacBook Pro, Core2Duo 2.66Ghz
    -upgraded to 8gb ddr3 ram
    -128GB kingston ssdNow 100 series

even with over 100GB information transfered over with the upgrade, it still boots up in 15 seconds and handles multiple displays and heavy load like a nothing I've ever owned.

Great update! Anytime I see SSD drive, I get all excited! I also made the switch to SSD a few months back and my machine is running superfast.

I only have 6gb of ram and when running VM player, it get's pretty high. I should add more!

Go a OCZ Vertex 60GB. Just a bit to small but I have only Win7 Ultimate on it. Trying to buy a new one for Adobe application. Have a 4 x WD 500GB in raido 5 for data only.

I was running on a Samsung first generation SSD for ... 3 years or so and then it just abruptly died on me. I haven't replaced it yet but I'm looking at the OCZ Vertex 2 or the Agility 2.

Careful of the OCZ Vertex 2. They made a chipset change I believe and it really degraded the performance.

I was about to get one, but I was hearing too many people were getting slower drives, then advertised.

I ended up going with a 64GB kingston ssdNow.

I remember back in the day when I use to sit around the tech shop and solder slightly better chips in the PC133 days just to get a little bit of extra performance.
