Someone complaint that my friend is trying to hack his site or something. He doesn't even tell his site, just the IP. The host don't speak english and the abuse department takes the issue very seriously.
We don't think that can happen. If anyone want to hack someone's site why would I need a dedi anyway. So I suggested to just block his IP.
Is it a linux server? If so, I'm sure it has iptables.
You can use this command to block the ip (if the ip is for example 188.8.131.52):
iptables -I INPUT -s 184.108.40.206 -j DROP
(Make sure to replace 220.127.116.11 with the IP that needs to be blocked).
