You can view the first few pages including the table of contents - take a look at that and see if there's anything you feel would be beneficial to you that isn't easy to find online.

I read every page when I started and it did supprise me how much detail it went into. If you're new to hosting it is easily worth the price.

A few of my clients had asked me about that book a while back, so I decided to read it. I personally thought the book was not very useful. It introduces people to the basics of running a hosting company, but it does not give them any useful knowledge for actually being successful. The title implies that the book will explain how to grow your business to 1000 customers, but that is not the focus of the book. The book simply gives you an overview of how to get a small hosting company set up. If you have no knowledge of setting up a hosting company, then you might find the book helpful. However, don't expect to be successful just by following along with the book.

To be successful, I would suggest reading the book called Different which is also available through Amazon. The real problem most small hosts have right now is the inability to stand out from the rest of the crowd. Nearly every web host sounds like a "me-too" style offering. The successful hosts find ways to show how they are truly different in a meaningful way.

As far as I know, HostGator reseller accounts include the book for free - or at least they used to.

As someone above said, its more geared towards setting up a hosting company rather than building a successfull hosting business. Again key would be (a proven fact) is advertisement advertisement advertisement.
And yes this ebook used to be a part of reseller package for host gator
