internap or I/O Datacenters in Phoenix?

We're looking to expand our SaaS kit to a Phoenix colo. Do you have any experience with either provider, perhaps things to ask for before signing a long term contract?

Many thanks.

Have you considered the PhoenixNAP? I think you'll find that facility overall much more cost-effective.

We have a pop in I/O PHX-ONE, we've been their since they opened (pre-order) and have had nothing but stellar service. Free cross-connects is outstanding (especially when you have over a dozen optical connections to various carriers) and the remote hands have proven useful as well (replacing PSUs etc). No complaints so far.

We have a 1/4 cab in Phoenix NAP and we where very pleased with the service and pricing. Phoenix NAP does charge one time fees for cross connections.
Not sure how pricing compares between PNAP and IO, but IO does look impressive, though i have no personal experience with them. The free cross connections is something to consider if you will have a lot of them and could be a big advantage.

Do you get free cross connects because you pre-ordered or is this a selling point of I/O? I've never considered I/O but that is one awesome selling point if that's given to everyone.

We are interested in both as well, with the no MRC on cross connects being a good marketing point.

Generally speaking you'll find it's just a shifting of costs. If you do a ton of xconnects obviously there is a cost savings but if you have only 1, maybe 2, you'll usually find that facilities with "free" xconnects will have higher rates on other services that often offset any savings.

Not sure I fully understand the question? We have space within the PhoenixNAP as well as in the Carrier MMR. Xconnects have an NRC charge for installation but no MRC.
