I need a .it domain registered however I don't reside in the EU and the .it registration policies need you to be based in the EU. I did come across some local Italian ISP's who could provide a "Local Agent Service" by which they would act as my local agent in the EU and hence getting around the requirement.
I would like to know if this would be a perfect solution to this and please share your experience if you have dealt with this situation before. They do offer a "Ownership Certificate" but I don't know how far that would help me as a domain owner.
Losing a domain after owning it for a couple of years, sucks
If you are not an EU Citizen or Company with EU Address, EuroDNS could become the domain holder and send you a certificate of ownership.
Once the domain is registered it will be allocated to your EuroDNS account and you will gain full access to the domain.
EuroDNS reserve the right to cancel this .IT domain immediately, should any of the terms and conditions in relation to this TLD be broken.
I think you can register .it domains from GoDaddy, doesnt matter where you're from
I saw that on GoDaddy, but was reluctant since the .it registrar had some guidelines in place as far as the registration is concerned. I don't know how GoDaddy has it open for all despite the norms set by the registrar. Any insights?
