My drupal site on a shared hosting account is sometimes slow when using the admin panel (changing settings, adding nodes etc.) Would it help if I moved it to a vps? Could anybody comment if they experienced this before.
Drupal is heavy and the administration panel isn't cached where as the client side does tend to be cached for speed. Realistically you actually have a better chance of things being *slower* on a VPS than faster simply because while you can use resources more often, the maximum limit of those resources tends to be much smaller (i.e. only a small portion of a full dedicated server's strength).
