Toughest decision I've had to make all day.

Probably either a 1969 Chevy Camaro SS or Chevelle SS(454), finding one at a reasonable price is near impossible these days.

    458 Good choice
    1969 GT500 Also very nice
Audi R8 V10 Will fill the remaining space in my garage

But what about off roading, need to have fun in the mud - Mercedes G-class

That's quite a budget the dream has got

The Terrafugia Transition: http://www.terrafugia.com/. I can already fly so I just need this to become affordable. Video: http://www.terrafugia.com/Montage.html and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smGmr...feature=relmfu.

If I had this car I would of been up to the Dallas datacenter a few more times to play with the hardware .

The 458 Italia would be cool assuming it doesn't explode on me. Otherwise, either a Audi R8 V10 or a 911 Turbo.

I would have to agree 100% on this post. Those are both of my top picks. Nothing like the old muscle cars.

Right now I own a 2007 Mercedes Benz CL550 and honestly, it's the best car I've driven. Lamborghini Gallardo use to be my dream car, but once you take a ride in either the CL or S class for mercedes, you can't ask for a better car. It's extremely comfortable, got more features than any other car, looks great, the name "mercedes benz" already gives you that -brand name- and i don't know, it's just too good go test drive one, you'll see what I mean!!

but i'd still like to have a Gallardo if I can afford one

A car that requires minimal maintenance, minimal gas and doesn't break in the same fashion a computer does (the more you use it, the more it breaks/malfunctions).
    It doesn't exist!

Zero desire to pay out the rear for something visually appealing but costs an arm and a leg for maintenance or repairs.

    Realistically: Audi S3

    Non-realistic: Audi R8

As you can see I'm an Audi fan, I've currently got an Audi A3.

I was fortante to meet the Eleanor used in that movie and meet Nicholas Cage back in like 99' before the movie even came to the theaters. Evidently quite a few Eleanor's were used in the filming and were being auctioned off. If I remember correctly that one sold for around $100k.

For an SUV/CUV it would either have to be a Porsche Cayenne or BMW X6.

For a car it would have to be either a Mercedes Benz E550 Coupe or a BMW M3.

    Dream car?

A good all-electric vehicle; perhaps a Honda Fit-EV or Nissan Leaf, charged with solar panels.

    I drive a 2005 BMW X3...

And I drove the 2011 X3. Damn, that was a nice car!

Something super-utilitarian that can fit a kayak / bike rack. Sadly, the one we considering (the wife said yes) has garbage for an engine -- otherwise I'd be the proud owner of a impreza sti Speed, utility, decent gas mileage all considering (as long as it's driven within reason). Acceleration is what I'm after as I am ridding of the GSXR (slowly ) with a baby due in September.

Wife is into hatchbacks and says 'yes' to every single one of them I show her, but not sportscars. /me goes back to digging. Wishing the lancer ralliart hatch came in evo version. Not a massive car fan myself, but I enjoy things with utility & diversity.

    Obtainable: 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV

David, for practicality and fun, a STI hatchback really is the way to go. As far as fuel mileage, not so much. I get 21 mpg no matter how I drive it on the street. Although, at a HPDE at Watkins Glen, I got 5 mpg out of it (so worth it though).
