    Reliable vps from 15$ to 30$ ?

    Hello,

I am looking for a reliable vps for 15$ to 30$.
Location is not important, however, NL is preferred.

I checked the offers section, and couldn't determine which one is good and which one is bad.

The VPS must come with solusvm and centos 5.

    Hi,

I recommend QuickWeb, they have multiple locations and were great when we used them.

Do you have any preference over the virtualisation technology (OpenVZ, Xen or KVM since you need SolusVM which supports these three platforms)?

You say it needs to be some where around NL or you would just like it around NL?

OpenVZ or Xen will be ok, I wont use much resources anyway.
Most of the time it will be for development and some backups.

I prefer to have it in NL, but if it's not an option then that's ok.

Leaseweb is a reliable hosting place. Also Rapidspeeds has some nice configurations on VPS.

This is ez for you to get one.
Determination of which host is reliable is hard to make comparison here unless you personally tested and used before.
Even so call reliable host also on and off face downtime.

HostPolar has nice SolusVM OpenVZ CentOS plans -- cheap, yet still quality.

But 1TB is a bit high.
    I don't think $15-30 will buy 1TB anywhere

Sure there are...I've used some. It's not hard to find a place that gives 1GB of RAM and 1TB of BW for under $25.

I'm not saying they're the greatest providers and the OP specifically asked for a reliable provider.

ThrustVPS does 1TB and is pretty cheap ($14.95/month for 1GBram xen pv w 1TB transfer). Not in NL though.

I have one of their "Metropolis" plans and it works great!

That's actually who I was thinking of. I've had two VPSes with them and both worked fine, but I didn't really do a lot with them, so I can't personally recommend them from experience.

Their OpenVZ with 1GB/2GB RAM and 1TB is $10.95 in UK (listed in USD, I don't know what that is in pounds), which is as close to the Netherlands as they get.

I am looking at thrustvps right now, their website is too confusing
It seems I will end up going with burst, the only con is that I never tried their veportal before.

I've been here at WHT more than 5 years. And I'm not yet convinced Burst is a top quality sort of provider. So for me -- and I'm sure many others -- it's not a serious option. I consider them to be not much different from an "unlimited" host, except they just use insanely high limits. Every week there's a new Burst complaint -- and yes, I'm aware some are just BS, because Burst seems to be a magnet for incompetent resellers. But the valid complaints give me pause, and cause for concern. I don't have time for that nuisance. I need a premium quality provider. And I only suggest hosts that I would use myself.

With all due respect to the folks at Burst, who do seem to be friendly.

Well they are not a top quality provider for sure but more of a budget one and also, referring to this thread request, burst.net could be a reliable vps provider

    Cheers.
