I'm running a cpanel/whm sentos server and want to know how I can limit the PHP max execution time for any script that is run on the server.
I have tried adding "max_execution_time" to php.ini file but this does not affect the value as shown on the phpinfo() page.
Also note: I have tried adding the above command to /etc/httpd/conf/httd.conf - still not working!
find / -name php.ini try this command to search the php.ini
mostly the location of global php.ini on a whm/cpanel server is /usr/local/lib/php.ini or /usr/local/php.ini
or you can put a php.info page in apache document root and then run the info page on browser, it will show you the path of php.ini
Yes, I can add this inside /usr/local/lib/php.ini - but the problem is that any user can override the setting by simply placing a php.ini with a max_execution_time setting inside their public_html folder.
